William H. Burris
Mr. Burris is a native of Franklinton, Louisiana, and a graduate of Franklinton High School. While attending Franklinton High School, Mr. Burris attained the honor of becoming an Eagle Scout. Mr. Burris then graduated Louisiana State University with a degree in Philosophy concentrating in Religious Studies. At Louisiana State University, he was a member of LSU’s Powerlifting Team, Phi Eta Sigma, and Theta Alpha Kappa.
Mr. Burris graduated magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center in May 2007. Whereupon, Mr. Burris was sworn in to practice before the Louisiana Supreme Court and all other state courts in October 2007. Subsequently, Mr. Burris was sworn in to practice before all Federal District Courts in Louisiana as well as the Federal Fifth Circuit, and received the Russell B. Long Federal Courts Award.
Since becoming an attorney, Mr. Burris has engaged in an active transactional and litigation practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mr. Burris represented many of the largest banks in the country in their default resolution, secured transaction and other real estate matters. Mr. Burris also represented many national title insurance companies defending the titles to personal property on behalf of owners and lenders.
Mr. Burris is very proud, honored, and pleased to be back in his hometown of Franklinton, Louisiana and to be an active part of the community representing the legal needs of the citizens of Washington Parish
